First Latinas in Tech Silicon Valley Summit // SF 1

The 2017 Latinas in Tech Silicon Valley Summit
will address an important question:

How can companies thrive by focusing on diversity & inclusion?

The inaugural Latinas in Tech Silicon Valley Summit will take place on Thursday, September 28 at Covo in San Francisco during Hispanic Heritage Month, with the goal of engaging and leading the discussion about diversity and inclusion in tech.

The Latinas in Tech Silicon Valley Summit will highlight women working in the tech sector for a day of empowerment, engagement, and education. The Summit will offer inspiring keynotes, engaging panel discussions and numerous networking opportunities to connect with other participants.

To kick off the Summit, we will be hosting an Opening Cocktail Reception courtesy of Zendesk at their gorgeous offices in San Francisco on Wednesday, September 27. This event is free and open to everyone. You can register for the Reception here.

The Summit then starts the next day on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 9:00am with an exciting keynote address by Carla Piñeyro Sublett, former CMO of Rackspace, followed by numerous interactive panel discussions featuring Latinas (and allies!) that are leaders throughout the entire tech ecosystem, including corporate business leaders, venture capitalists and angel investors, entrepreneurs, engineers, AR/VR creators, human resource leaders and diversity leaders. All panels will be moderated by Silicon Valley journalists. We will also feature a fireside chat with Elena Gomez, CFO of Zendesk.

In addition, the Summit will close with a dynamic panel featuring diversity and inclusion leaders from Asana, Google, Pinterest and Uber, who will engage in an open discussion about what the tech industry is doing to attract, retain and empower more women working in tech.

In addition, we are thrilled to partner with the Global Gift Foundation USA to present the Women’s Empowerment Luncheon & Speakers Panel, featuring Honorary Chair, Eva Longoria.

The goal of this event is to inspire, unite, educate, motivate and mentor women from different backgrounds, professional fields and age groups in an effort to celebrate each other’s growth and successes. The Luncheon will also raise vital funds for the  Eva Longoria Foundation, which focuses helping Latinas build better futures for themselves and their families through education and entrepreneurship, and helping young Latinas get into STEM.

The Women’s Empowerment Luncheon & Speakers Panel will feature Eva Longoria along with several leading and inspirational business women for an inspiring and interactive afternoon.  The Luncheon will take place immediately following the Latinas in Tech Silicon Valley Summit on Sept. 28.
We hope to see you at the Latinas in Tech Silicon Valley Summit and the Women’s Empowerment Luncheon & Speakers Panel.
