In celebration of Halloween and Dia de los Muertos, Galeria is hosting 3 days of events examining representations of death through the Latina filmmaker’s lens.

    These films contain scenes of violence towards children, sexual assault, death, racial discrimination, pregnancy/childbirth, incarceration, and state violence that some viewers may find triggering. Please use discretion when viewing. Viewers are welcome to step away at any time during the screenings.

5:30 PM- Screening of El Velador, directed by Natalia Almada
7 PM- Discussion panel with Dr. Orquidea Morales, PhD.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2
3 PM- Dia de los Muertos Celebration & Remembrance featuring Taller Bombalele
