The Giants and closer Sergio Romo closed just yesterday Wednesday on a deal.
Romo and the San Francisco Giants have agreed to a $9 million, two-year contract, avoiding salary arbitration.
He made $1,575,000 last season, when he went 4-2 with a 1.79 ERA.
This contract buys out his final two years of arbitration eligibility. He can file for free agency after the 2014 season.
