Dr. Loco's Rockin' Jalapeno Band & Los Lupenos: MHP Fundraiser @ School of Arts & Culture 1

About:

Dr. Loco (Jose Cuellar) a San Antonio, Texas native and long-time San Francisco, California resident, is a Chicano musician, bandleader, composer, producer, ethnologist, educator, administrator, author and activist with a Doctorate in Anthropology.  His life-long music career (including four critically-acclaimed CDs, a feature-film soundtrack, and thousands of live performances) shows a dedication to playing US Mexican Borderlands music as a means of generating both more joy and understanding.

LOS LUPENOS de SAN JOSE is one of the oldest Mexican folk dance companies in the United States.  Since its early years, the dancers of the main Performing Company traveled to Mexico to learn steps as well as the culture, style, language, costuming, geography, and the different traditions of each region.
Bringing authentic performances back to the United States.  The performing company learned from master instructors in Mexico.

All proceeds benefit the School of Arts and Culture at the Mexican Heritage Plaza
