Come experience the First Christmas, see our angels, our animals, our Roman soldiers, our inn where there is no room, our shepherds watching their flocks and of course Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus in the manger.
Then enjoy a hot drink and fresh donuts.
December 21, 22 and 23 6 – 9.30 pm with shorter line after 8.15pm.
This event recreates the ancient village of Bethlehem on the night of the first Christmas.
Many know it as one of the largest living nativities in California!
In a 15 minute walk, visitors encounter Roman Centurions, Tax Collectors, a marketplace including potters and bakers, craftspeople, folk dancers, ‘Inn keepers’ and a menagerie of animals for petting! Local dignitaries (including the Redwood City Mayor and Chief of Police), play the part of the wisemen. Everything culminates at the manger, which is surrounded by angels and music. Bethlehem A.D. is a one-of-a-kind Holiday experience creating a deep sense of “community” that unites people of diverse cultural, religious, and economic backgrounds.
Golf carts are available for the physically challenged and shuttles run from the Kaiser Hospital Parking garage.
