CCSF VIDA Lowrider Show, Rally, and Fundraiser, F 9/15 from 11-2
VIDA is Life: Voices of Immigrants Demonstrating Achievement
Friday, September 15 from 11-200 p.m. the CCSF VIDA office in collaboration with students and faculty, present:
EL GRITO! Independence Day! Love for our DACA students and family!
Join us, the immigrants, the fighters, the defenders of justice, at the Ocean Campus, City College of San Francisco Amphitheater (in between the Wellness center and the library), on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, our holiday.
“El Grito de Dolores” and Independence Day for Central America! From 11:00 to 2:00 p.m., we will rally, sing songs, deliver speeches, pass out important information, network, and celebrate our struggle con los lowriders, danzantes, live music, and food! At the same time we are spreading love and power to each other, we will showcase how the immigrant community contributes, as this will also be a fundraiser for our “Amor for Alex Nieto Memorial” on top of Bernal Heights.
The attack on immigrants is not new and neither is our community’s mobilization to fight against injustice. We did it before; we are doing it again—rising and flying, not forward, but upward!
