Chile Wildfires: fundraising campaign & party at La Peña Toribio // SF

A Fundraiser for the Wild Forest Fires in Chile

A Fundraiser for the Wild Forest Fires in Chile.

Right now Chile is facing one of the worst wildfires in its history. The lives of people, flora, and fauna are being threatened by more than 70 active wildfires that have already burned more than 675,000 acres. An uncountable amount of homes have completely disappeared and we need your help to stop destruction and support reconstruction of the damaged ones.

About:

Even though we are far, we can contribute by donating to Chilean institutions to help them fight. So we would like to invite you as the Bay Area community to join the cause, through a GoFundMe and/or by joinining us in an incredible fundraising party in the heart of San Francisco this Saturday, with Pisco bar included!

The GoFundMe campaign https://www.gofundme.com/bay-area-for-chilean-wildfire is led by the “Chilenos en Berkeley Association” to collect money and send it to “Desafío Levantemos Chile” so they can distribute whatever is needed in different áreas affected and to Bomberos de Tomé.

Our fundraising party next Saturday, February 4th starting at 5:00 pm. This will be hosted by MAPP’s El Santuario del Arte y la Pachanga event, with the help of our friends from Los Pobres Artistas, Pasto Seco Band and La Clandestina and with a pisco, beer, and wine bar. Donations will go to “Desafío Levantemos Chile” and to Bomberos de Tomé. We hope that our financial contribution as members of the Bay Area is significant and we stand up to the challenge!
