Through a blend of contemporary and traditional styles, Cuban born percussionist and vocalist Jesús Díaz explores the role that music plays in the cultural identity and history of Cuba in this special concert event.
Díaz has performed, toured or recorded with artists as Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, Dizzy Gillespie, Pete Escovedo, Sheila E, Omar Sosa and John Calloway, among many others. His local, national and international performances in collaboration with world renowned and acclaimed artists are recognized for their contributions to the richness of an ever-expanding musical genre.
Jesús Díaz Quintet: Sounds of Cuba is presented as part of Rhythmix Island Arts Concert Series honoring island traditions from around the world, on the island of Alameda.

Native Colombian, Lynda holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance (UC Santa Barbara), with years of experience in performance and teaching movement. Lynda is ready to share with you a FANTASTIC selection of music, EASY to follow MOVES, and a whole lotta fun!
