For this Oakland Flamenco Sessions show we’re bringing you life-of-the-party and heart-of-the-matter artistic couple Pamela Martinez (dancer) and Geoff Hawkins (guitarist)! Our singer for this show will be elder Roberto Zamora to keep us kids educated. And Bianca Rodriguez will keep us all both on our toes and grounded with her dance and presence.
Oakland Flamenco Sessions is committed to Oakland community, access and artistry. Artists always receive 50% discount on ticket prices.
The show is two sets with an intermission in between.
Doors at 8pm. Show starts at 8:30.
And at the end of every show we play bulerias por fiesta and/or rumbas (party rhythms) and take turns dancing in the circle. It’s a community-based ritual and everyone is welcome to jump in!
