Social Fabric (aka Tejido Social) is presenting special selection of sustainable mezcales. The event is to benefit Tejido Social’s cultural bi-national on going projects.

As some know, agave plant takes from -1 to 2+ decades (depending the type) to be ready to be harvested to make mezcal, thus the Mexican maestros mezcaleros are aware of the importance of the preservation of the agave and know how to sustainable harvest it and how to help it to reproduce (unlike the big labels).

We will have a selection of top quality mezcales that are made by cooperatives or communal projects where women are represented and in many of the cases they are the leaders of the projects.

Also we will share tips for you to be able to recognize if a mezcal is good before you buy it/drink it, regardless what you read in the label.

Food:

We will also have the traditional Guerrero style pozole and fine folk art from Chihuahua and Guerrero and more to be announced. The event is to benefit Tejido Social’s cultural bi-national on going projects.
