A. LAS CAFETERAS:
Get ready to dance to the East LA band bringing folk music into the future.

Biography:
Las Cafeteras have taken the music scene by storm with their infectious live performances and have crossed many genres and borders along the way. Their eclectic sound and high-energy performances have taken them around the world playing shows at Bonnaroo, the Hollywood Bowl, WOMAD, Montreal Jazz Festival and beyond.
B. HENRY CABRERA:
Get ready to dance to the East LA band bringing folk music into the future.

Biography:
A Peruvian native who comes from a family of musicians and composers. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 15 and grew up in the city of Los Angeles where he would eventually perform with many local orchestras including Tobacco y Ron, Poncho Sanchez, Susie Hansen, and Ricardo Lenvo to name a few.
Henry also had the opportunity to play with many American artists such as Britney Spears, Queen Latifah, and Jessica Simpson. Henry would eventually accompany other heavy hitting Latin artists such as the great Celia Cruz, Ismael Miranda, Ray Sepulveda, La India, Cheo Feliciano, Oscar de Leon, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and Tito Nieves.
Henry Cabrera y su Orquesta is based out of San Francisco and is composed of musicians from different nationalities. Henry is not afraid of breaking barriers, and is always looking for opportunities to bring his musical experience to the forefront and to provide his audience (and dancers) with great music.

One of Summer Fest 2024’s must-see discoveries, Lucía Gutiérrez Rebolloso, was crowned the winner of the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2022.
She hails from Veracruz and is steeped in son jarocho, a traditional regional style that blends Spanish, African and indigenous Mexican influences. At the Fest, you’ll be treated to a bewitching set of Mexican folkloric and traditional jazz standards, sung in both Spanish and English. Buy tickets here.

Centered on the Plaza de César Chávez Park in San Jose, Summer Fest takes over the heart of downtown San Jose at the intersection of the 280, 101 and 87 freeways.
More Summer Fest artists have been released, including global superstar Angélique Kidjo and the entire Blues/Big Easy Stage lineup. They join an already-stacked lineup including Herbie Hancock, Lisa Fischer, Maze Honoring Frankie Beverly, Spanish Harlem Orchestra and more!
