As 2016 marks an election year, #MiGenteVota aims to engage nuestra gente in the electoral process, either by inciting dialogue or by encouraging folks to take the next step to vote.

At these public art interventions you can register to vote, learn about local ballot measures, and get your own MiGenteVota screen-print or digital print for free!

About the Project:

Galería de la Raza | Studio 24 commissioned non-partisan art works by artists Lenny Correa, Eric Garcia, Chris Robertson, and Lexx Valdez and have created a poster campaign that focuses on the following get out the vote activities:

  • circulation of 11″ x 17″ non-partisan prints by each artist across the U.S. free of charge;
  • host a series of cultural interventions at various Bay Area sites where we will engage the public in the printmaking activity as well as have local organizations who can register voters and answer voting questions;
  • creation of a dedicated website and social media channels providing information on voter registration and other opportunities for civic engagement.
