2017 Summer Festivals in Bay Area

Summer is here, Woohoo! It’s definitely our favorite time of year!

Let’s wear our shorts and sandals to absorb the beautiful Bay Area Sun with our friends and family. Oh, and let’s not forget wine and beer to pair with these fabulous foods!

Pacific Coast Fog Fest: Sept. 23-24. Pacifica, along Palmetto Avenue. Parade and marching band competition (10 a.m. Sept. 23), live music, sand sculpture demo, 200 arts and crafts booths, food, beverages, plus Family Fun Fest (1-4 p.m.Sept. 24). Free. http://pacificcoastfogfest.com

SoFA Street Fair: 2-9 p.m. Sept. 24. Downtown San Jose’s SoFA district (South of First Street area). Fall rendition of twice-yearly event. Local, regional, national bands on 14 stages. Food, beer, games, arts. Free. http://sofastreetfair.com

Bay Area Blues Festival: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 23-24. Main Street at Alhambra Avenue, Martinez. Blues music on two stages, food, craft beer and wine, arts and crafts, community booths, kids activities, chalk art. Free. www.bayareabluesfestival.com

Folsom Street Festival: 11am to 6pm, Folsom St. from 8th to 13th Streets, San Francisco. Bigger IS better at this ‘only in San Francisco’ event! With 400,000 fetish enthusiasts spread out over 13 city blocks, there is something for everyone. Located on historic Folsom Street, leather and fetish players from all over the world converge.
