Rocio Cervantes and Jose Rodriguez have developed a partnership between their community café and roasting project Akat Café Kalli/Sin Fronteras Coffee and a Zapatista Coffee Cooperative.

They will discuss their visit to one of the autonomous coffee communities where they learned about the production process of coffee and how it relates to the caring of the land and how coffee directly benefits autonomy and the people who grow and harvest the beans.

There will also be samples of the coffee to taste!

Sin Fronteras Coffee is raising funds for the creation of a community coffee workshop and café, el tallercito, where community folks and those who have migrated to the Bay Area from their coffee homelands can share knowledge about the production of coffee, the operation of an autonomous coffee business and the social/cultural/political implications of our interactions with coffee.
