Had two super special caravans Friday and Saturday. Lots of valuable information distributed as well as N95 masks, school supplies, back packs and lunches.
They have raised $8,000 for our caravan and plan to fulfill their ride in the near future. Thanks, AMiGOS!
Grateful to all our supporters who are out there with us in spirit. Yesterday, we were honored to have a group of cyclists join us.
Aliance Mi Gente Outdoors (AMiGOS) had planned to ride from SF to Watsonville but due to the unhealthy air quality they drove here instead knowing that they’d still find our Campesinos working hard.
Above is a short video to demonstrate a little bit of what we do when we present information to the #campesinos.
In this clip, the focus is on #airquality and the importance of wearing #facemasks . It was about 80 degrees outside and under those plastic overheads, were sure the temperature is even higher.
However, #covid19 is still live and well & wearing those face masks is crucial for all of us and in particular to these #essentialworkers So when you go out today, everyday, don’t forget to #wearyourfacemask and check the air quality for your safety.
We hope this video helps to give you a better understanding of our efforts. ¡Que Vivan Los Campesinos!

For this upcoming season, AMiGOs has decided to collaborate with the WCAC by establishing a small bike ride from San Francisco to Watsonville and raise funds/awareness for the Farm Workers.
Israel Murillo and 2 others are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of ACTION Council of Monterey County. Donations are 100% tax deductible.
Project spearheaded by WCAC. The 100 mile bike ride will take place on Oct 3, 2020 beginning in San Francisco, CA at 5am and making our way 100 plus miles South to Watsonville.
AMiGOs SF to WV Cycling Tour for Farmworkers.
Amount raised: $7,005.
While many of us are fortunate to be sheltering in place during this pandemic, farmworkers are putting themselves at risk daily in order to provide food for the rest of us.
We simply cannot do without our agricultural heroes, yet they are disproportionately overlooked and underpaid. For this reason, AMiGOs has partnered with The Watsonville Campesino Appreciation Caravan (WCAC).
WCAC has established an appreciation caravan whose purpose is to show gratitude by driving to various agriculture land in the Watsonville area and delivering messages of appreciation, personal protective equipment, bottled water, covid safety resources, partnered with other community programs/businesses, provided lunch, school supplies and household products.
Alliance Mi Gente Outdoors (AMiGOS) is a group of like-minded individuals who try to partner with organizations or projects that share similar values and beliefs to ours. Through the worldwide outdoors community, we intend to increase awareness and raise funds to further support organizations committed in the continued fight to serve and aid the underserved Latinx community.
