[cancelled] Fiesta Navideña: A cultural dynamic lighting and art display // San Jose

UPDATE! It is with deep sadness that we announce the cancellation of the Fiesta Navideña experience in response to Santa Clara County enacting the Regional Stay At Home Order.

Every year, we look forward to Fiesta Navideña, as it’s a time to rejoice and celebrate cherished traditions with our families and friends. Our decision to cancel is to further protect our neighbors who have been hit hardest by this virus.

About cancelled event:

This year’s Fiesta Navideña transforms San Jose’s Mexican Heritage PLAZA into a cultural dynamic lighting and art display.

Hours: December 11 7:00 to 9:30 and December 12 and 13 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Address: Mexican Heritage Plaza, 1700 Alum Rock Avenue, San Jose.

The six-acre facility will be completely illuminated and reimagined into a massive holiday installation with lighting, projections, and artistic displays for the community to safely enjoy as they pass through La Plaza.

The experience will include elements of posadas, festive music, seasonal art displays by local artists, murals, and fascinating photo opportunities.

The Fiesta Navideña experience will activate individual senses and remind the community that La Plaza is their Plaza.

The costumbres and tradiciones that La Plaza upholds will continue to be practiced.

In the meantime, the SOAC offers this adapted experience, even as we remind our friends to wash their hands, wear their masks, and keep the faith.
