Dia de los Muertos is the most anticipated family event of the year!
20th Annual Dia de los Muertos Festival!
Sunday, November 8th | 10:00am to 5:00pm
* Bart station: Fruitvale Village
It’s our favorite Latino festival in the Bay Area!
Why? It’s the best + biggest LATINO festival in our Bay Area.
100% authentic culture. Awesome food, arts and crafts, indigenous performances, 2 stages of Mexican mariachi, folklorico and beautiful Raza families and no cholo fights. (Plus no hipsters + white people trying to homogenize it by wearing silly Halloween costumes).
Plus Mexican super-stars Adriel Favela, Jonatan Sanchez and Grupo Alpha Jr.!
This is a beloved festival that has been rooted in our community, honoring Mexican tradition while generating modern interpretations that connects with a broad spectrum of demographics.
Come and enjoy the flavors of Latin American cuisine and enjoy a day filled with entertainment, art and community. Fun for the entire family. There will be continuous entertainment on two stages.
Dia de los Muertos showcases the neighborhood and all it has to offer. It shows our community, often challenged by crime and violence, in the best possible light. Sponsored by The Unity Council as part of its economic development strategy, the festival serves the dual purpose of contributing to the overall well-being of the community as well as improving its financial standing. Support and be a part of this continuing local legacy!
