Amor Eterno Arte presents PORK CHOPS. Pick one. Sit down. Shut up. Celebration of East Bay Tattooing
Tattoo + Gallery
Open Weds-Sun 12-7pm
PORK CHOPS is a celebration of the East Bay tattoo flash tradition.
Dedicated to the street shop design on the wall where you had no choice and you were scared as shit of your tattooer. Pork chops were the most popular tattoo designs cut out and assembled on one flash sheet. It was those designs that were sold the most going from ground round to pork chop. The pork chop was loved and hated by veteran and rookie tattooers. The repetition could be torturous. But after decades of tattooing the designs became bread and butter. The founding tattooers didn’t go to art school and didn’t have business degrees. They were genuine outlaws. Although Amor Eterno Arte bears little resemblance to the shops of old, we honor and celebrate our tough as nails roots.
The tattoo shop and art gallery have been remodeled and we are celebrating tattooing back at Amor Eterno Arte. We are proud to announce Irene Takahashi-Coker and Justen Cortese will be tattooing alongside Chamuco.
