3rd Annual St. Valentine’s Concert @ California Ballroom // Oakland

After a successful Third Annual Bay Area Latin Jazz Festival (held on August 20, 2022 at Rowell Ranch in Castro Valley), Montuno Productions is happy to announce the continuation of the festival-related concert series, with our upcoming Third Annual St. Valentine’s Concert, a celebration of love and friendship.

The event, planned as a classy dance concert reminiscent of Old San Juan’s Casa de España events in the ’70s and ’80s, will feature three great acts, including Latin jazz vocalist, Jessy Díaz, who is coming back to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she’s quickly gaining a loyal fan base (because of her amazing voice, talent, and stage presence), direct from Miami; the 12-piece big sound of East Bay favorites, Latin Rhythm Boys, regaling the salsa dancing audience with high-energy Puerto Rican music; and Montuno Productions All-Stars Salsa Project, a special ensemble featuring several GRAMMY® award winning-musicians, including vocalist, Carlos Rosario, directed by award-winning percussionist and band leader, Christian Pepin. Radio personality, Luis Medina, will be the show’s DJ and MC.

And just like the last two concerts, what better place for an event like this than the majestic 7,500 square-foot California Ballroom, featuring high gold leaf ceiling, a large stage with curtains and spotlights, and a sizable and smooth dance floor. “An invitation to this impressive Art Deco landmark — just a few blocks from picturesque Lake Merritt — is an occasion to look forward to.”

Attendees will also be able to order Cuban food, catered by Yaqueline Y Su Sabor Cubano.
