Beginners Guide to Mindfulness Meditation // Berkeley

The benefits of Mindfulness meditation are numerous and research suggests that it is associated with reduction in stress, improvement in overall health and well-being, decrease in depression and anxiety, improvement in sleep, etc..

This workshop will include:

-Guided Meditation
-Mindful movement (e.g. yoga, qigong, Feldenkrais)
-Mindful breathing techniques
-Mindful eating meditation
-Live music

Please wear clothing you are comfortable moving in, and lots of warm layers if you get cold easily. All materials will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own mat and blanket (La Pena has extra mats if you do not have one).


***This is a by donation workshop, with all proceeds going to support La Pena’s Cultural Center’s community events and social justice work. No individual will be turned away for lack of funds. Donation of any size encouraged!***

About your instructor, Jordanna Glueckauf:

Jordanna completed her 200-hour teacher training in Raja Yoga with the Niroga Institute, a style of yoga that emphasizes the benefits of meditation for spiritual self-realization and the purposeful evolution of consciousness. Her classes offer a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental environment. Students will be guided through asana (postures), breathing techniques, and meditation designed to rejuvenate mind, body, and spirit. Perfect for students of all levels interested in deepening mind-body awareness.
