People of Color For Bernie Sanders cordially invites you to a “CONCIERTO DEL PUEBLO” barnstorming rally and live music concert, a grassroots event in support of the Bernie Sanders for President campaign.
On Thursday, Sanders volunteers will hold a free Concierto del Pueblo in San Francisco’s Mission District to bring in new voters. Most of Sanders campaign’s outreach has been more low-key over past few months — passing out flyers in front of churches and markets in Latino neighborhoods, staffing tables outside BART stations.
Join other local volunteers and grassroots organizers for this “barnstorm” organizing rally, Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6pm to 10pm at Chez Poulet, 3359 Cesar Chavez St., San Francisco, CA (3 blocks from the 24th St. BART station).
Bernie volunteers will present an update from the national campaign, talk about our plan to win and plug you into a voter contact program locally.
This will be a great opportunity to hear what’s going on nationally and locally with the campaign, as well as a chance to meet other Bernie supporters from your community. Thank you for all that you’ve contributed and all the hard work that you’re about to do!
CONCIERTOS DEL PUEBLO
Once everyone has been updated on the latest news about the campaign and had a chance to connect with local organizers, we’ll transition into a celebration of art, music, and camaraderie, including readings by spoken-word artists, and a live music concert by one of San Francisco Bay Area’s favorite salsa bands, the Latin Rhythm Boys. Attendees will be able to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Admission is FREE, although we encourage and accept donations to help pay the artists and cover the event’s production costs. The suggested donation is $5 to $10. Space is limited to 150 people. Please RSVP using the form below in order to be added to the admission list.
