About:

CURYJ celebrates the work of incarcerated artists through the first annual “Freedom Es Firme” night of art, music, and lowriders.

Join us to honor the incredible talent of our loved ones behind bars and celebrate the connection between family, freedom and artistic expression. Art has always been a vehicle to express love and pride, while telling the history, struggle and resiliency of Xicano and Indigenous people. It has also been a pathway to peace and hope to live another day.

Some of the art will be available for purchase. The money will go back on the books of each artist.

Please contact Micheal Muscadine at mmuscadine@curyj.org if you or someone you know would like to submit a piece for the exhibit.
