ANNOUNCEMENT (Filmmaker Hector Ortiz)
This short focuses on how the end of DACA impacts one Dreamer’s family. “Whether you support immigration rights or if you are against,” Ortiz says, “it’s definitely not going to be what you expect.” This is the first film in Hector Ortiz’s proposed series of films titled, “In The Shadows”, about the lives of undocumented immigrants in the United States. Hector Ortiz graduated from the Contra Costa Community College’s digital film program in 2014.
