Intimate Mezcal Tasting with Tr3s Tiempos Mezcal
1203 Mission Street, Santa Cruz.
Nuestro mezcal Tepeztate tiene un color cristalino, con perlas de tamaño medio, abundantes y perdurables.
Tr3s Tiempos was born as a cooperative of people in the town of San Luis Amatlán, Oaxaca and is committed to preserving local traditions, culture, and the purity of mezcal so that lovers of this spirit can acquire it directly from the producers.
They promote equity in trade to dignify the work of all and take care of the families who are involved in the process of making mezcal.
During this intimate evening (only 28 tickets available) you will taste five .75oz pours of Tr3es Tiempo mezcal while Raul discusses the history of the company, the process of making the mezcal, and the vision that drives their work.
There will also be a discussion about the dangers that mezcal producers and the industry face with the rising popularity of the spirit and what consumers can do to diminish these problems.
Chef Ana from Copal will prepare three off-menu Oaxacan appetizers for you to enjoy and the evening will culminate with the opportunity to purchase bottles of mezcal directly from the producer.
Bicuixe, the wild guardian, is a mezcal made with wild agaves that are semi-cultivated.
This agave has been used for many generations in our pueblo to make boundaries and fences that divide the lands of our neighbours, thus to protect them. Its name comes from this ancestral function.
