An Evening of Art & Music in Support of Chile’s Indigenous People
The Mapuche are an indigenous group from Chile and Argentina. For decades, the Mapuches have been deprived of their economic, social and cultural rights, their ancestral lands exploited and destroyed, and any resistance crushed with incarceration and militarization of Mapuche territory. Presented by the Bay Area based Mapuche Support Committee, this event brings awareness to the crisis, celebrates Mapuche culture and serves as fundraiser to support Mapuche communities.
