We are teaming up with funky, Big Band, Cumbia, Salsa sabor of Pasto Seco and reuniting up with the reigning DJ Queen of Oakland and long time collaborator Lady Ryan! Music starts at 9:30 sharp! LA GENTE is a San Francisco based, international recording group led by singer-songwriter Rafael Bustamante Sarria. The group has created their own unique blend of World Music, Cumbia, Reggae, Hip-Hop & Salsa. LA GENTE fuses together rhythms and cultural influences from all over the Caribbean with their distinct Bay Area flavor and style to create an infectious, high energy dance party. After years of touring and creating new music, LA GENTE has built a large and loyal following all over the US and the globe. The group’s most recent fourth album “Borderless” features special guest Deuce Eclipse of Bang Data and Zion-I. La Gente was founded in 2007, since then They have performed numerous festivals, universities, radio stations, museums, art galleries and major venues all over the US. For example: San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Austin, Portland and New York. La Gente has also performed internationally in Spain, Italy, France, Great Britain, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Nicaragua and most recently embarked on a month long tour of Colombia. Their notoriety and showmanship had found them sharing the stage with other recognized recording artists, such as George Clinton and The P-Funk All Stars, E-40, La Santa Cecilia, Quantic, The Digital Underground, Hyro-Glyphics, Coolio, Digable Planets, Pato Banton, Lyrics Born, Pete Escovedo, and MALO.

Pasto Seco Band is a Latin American dance band pulling from traditional central, south american and caribbean styles like Cumbia, Mambo, Saya and Salsa to bring people together in celebration. They play wild abandon, lots of horns, drums and percussion, plus accordion, guitar and bass. Based in the San Francisco East Bay, they have an all-star 10 member band, who hail from Chile, US, Mexico, Cuba and Argentina. Through various community partnerships they work with youth helping to expose them to the richness of Latin American culture. Pasto Seco Band has blessed the stage at many prominent SF bay area venues bringing the dance party wherever they go…

Lady Ryan, a Bay area favorite, has been rocking crowds coast to coast for close to a decade. Her music and voice have been riding the wave of partygoers in major cities such as New York City, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Seattle and the nation’s capitol Washington D.C. This diverse DJ is known for the energy exchange she shares with her crowds in every song selection and tune she sings. Lady Ryan’s talent crosses the board from vinyl to digital ranging in a deep knowledge of Breaks, Soul, Musica Latina, Hip Hop, Funk, Reggae, Afro-beat and Top 40. She has played and opened up with artists such as George Clinton, Tracy Chapman, Erykah Badu, Digable Planets, Camp Lo, Chef Jarobi of ATCQ, The Internet, Foreign Exchange, Cakes Da Killa, Stic Man of Dead Prez, Flying Lotus, MC Lyte, Goapele, Nina Sky, Peanut Butter Wolf, Rich Medina, Princess Nokia. In 2011 “Soulovely” was created into one of the best seasonal outdoor monthly parties packing in hundreds of people at one of Oakland’s most popular clubs: The New Parish. LadyRyan stands as a founding member. She has held long-standing residencies at some of East Bay’s most popular clubs and breweries. In 2016 Lady Ryan was awarded East Bay Express, Best of the East Bay, Winner 2016 Readers Choice.
