About this event
We want to create a space to network with other latinas in the Bay Area doing mission driven work to improve our communities. We are often not in spaces together unless we create them. So we have decided to create that for ourselves and for you all. We hope you are able to join us on August 27th and that this is not our first and last gathering. Our hope is to establish a network within each other to increase our work and impact as we come together.
If you have business cards, bring them. If you don’t, we got you! We will have cards to share your contact with others.

Giuliana Martinez is a business owner, first-generation Latina. GM Consulting Group, LLC (GMCG) is a community engagement firm started by Founder Giuliana Martinez to bridge the gap in accessibility to strategic services for underrepresented communities to flourish.
Having had a range of experiences in different areas of community servitude, from the grassroots to both the nonprofit and public sectors, Giuliana brings her diverse background to how GMCG conducts its strategic planning for creating infrastructures of care for organizations serving those communities. GMCG makes it its mission to reinforce and strengthen the systems in place at community collaboratives and government agencies that seek to enhance their engagement and relationships with mission-driven community stakeholders.
GMCG emphasizes its values, which are inspired by Giuliana’s experiences as a first-generation Latina immigrant growing up in Marin County who often saw people in her community and of similar backgrounds being denied resources and or lack of culturally relevant services.
Instead of dumping long, jargon-y strategic plans with zero hand in implementation, GMCG makes sure to walk its clients through whatever programs and outreach strategies they need to achieve their objectives for full and complete understanding. In centering its approach around transparency, intention, maintaining relationships, and community, GMCG successfully connects stakeholders with the appropriate changemakers and commits to managing the programmatic efforts, events, communication, and resources that bring successful results to better the community.
Giuliana has spent over a decade around the San Francisco Bay Area working to motivate, educate and empower such underserved and disenfranchised communities. Her specialties in project management, facilitation, and event management and planning drive the leadership of GMCG and its commitment to success.
In her spare time, Giuliana enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering her time on grassroots efforts.
