The 32nd Annual Summer Jazz Series has started. Come join us for a free outdoor concert series.
The free concerts are on Thursdays and feature top jazz performers in the Bay Area.
Stanford Shopping Center is bringing back its free Summer Jazz series, annual outdoor concerts held for 10 weeks from June to August at the open-air shopping and dining center in Palo Alto.
Sponsored by Nordstrom and See’s Candies, the series showcase a variety of jazz musicians and local favorites every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. from June 21 to Aug. 23 in the courtyard between Nordstrom and Crate & Barrel at the mall at 660 Stanford Shopping Center.
“Grab your friends and family, bring a blanket and pick-up some bites to-go from one on our yummy eateries for a wonderful, serenaded summer evening,” said Rachel Roberts, Stanford Shopping Center director of marketing and business development.
At this year’s line-up, guests can enjoy sounds from some of the Silicon Valley and Bay Area’s best jazz musicians, including Sun Hop Fat, featuring a blend of American funk, jazz and rhythmic East African sounds, and Harry & The Hitmen, an ensemble of Motown and Soul enthusiasts, multi-instrumentalists and improvisers, as well as such renowned jazz vocalists as Masha Campagne, praised by Critical Jazz as “The originals from Campagne are bold and vibrant as well as airy and seductive.”

Clifford Brown Jr. of KCSM Jazz 91.1 is returning as the 2018 emcee for the concert series, produced by SFJAZZ.
