Join the Latino Leaders Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to “Bringing Leaders Together”, for a Cafecito Series to honor Lina Hidalgo, Harris County Judge, with the Rising Star Award.
The event will feature a conversation and live Q&A with Judge Lina Hidalgo and Hon. Julián Castro moderated by CBS News Contributor Maria Elena Salinas.
Program participants also include Latino Leaders Network Chairman Mickey Ibarra , Texas State Senator Carol Alvarado and emerging Latinx leaders featured in the “Our Stories Move Us Forward: Then, Now & Tomorrow” digital campaign.

The Cafecito Series is our new digital platform aimed to educate, inspire, and prepare the next generation of leaders through the stories of iconic Latino leaders. Our goal is to connect seasoned leaders with emerging Latinx and Afro-Latinx leaders to uplift our community. The Rising Star Award was established in 2019 to recognize an emerging Latino/Latina leader who has demonstrated exceptional promise, leadership, and commitment to the well-being of their community.
