Latin Grammy Award winner Lucky Diaz & The Family Jam Band hits the Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton for a high energy, fun-for-all concert.
Two-time Grammy Award Winner and Three-time Emmy Award Winner, Lucky Diaz & The Family Jam Band are on a roll. The band notes that winning the Latin Grammy Award in 2013 for Best Children’s Album for “Fantastico!” was a banner achievement, making them the very first American group to win in the children’s album category.
More Grammy nominations followed, and in 2015 the group garnered three Emmy Award Nominations for their popular PBS TV show “Lishy Lou and Lucky Too”…and got a win! “Kids and grown-ups alike will gobble up the Indie Pop Beats of TFJB.” – People Magazine
The show is full of numbers rooted in kid-friendly whimsy and imagination. The songs on their five award-winning recordings offer a wide variety of musical stylings aimed at exploring the joy and wonder of a young person’s life. Plus, joining Lucky on stage for a few numbers will be the City of Pleasanton’s own High School Music Collaborative players.
Frequent live TV appearances on Sprout, CNN, and UniVision, along with nation-wide touring, have earned the group the following plaudits: ‘THE face of kindie music’ by the Washington Post; ‘SUPERSTARS’ by Red Tricycle; ‘The Rolling Stones of Kids Music’ by the Style Network; and PEOPLE Magazine called their album “The #1 in COOLEST kids music!”
Lucky Diaz and Alisha Gaddis, a married couple, are the heart and soul of The Family Jam Band, creating the indie music sounds for which the band is now celebrated. From the outset with their debut album, “Luckiest Adventure,” to their consecutive #1 songs and albums (“Oh Lucky Day,” “A Potluck”), they have enjoyed rave reviews and heavy radio rotation not only nationwide, but worldwide.
