The Mole Tasting Contest is your opportunity to savor delicious home-made Mole recipes, vote for your favorite dish, and celebrate the winners with Cash Prizes and special performances.
Plate of food to accompany Mole for an additional $7! Mole is the generic name for a number of sauces originally used in Mexican cuisine, as well as for dishes based on these sauces. See history below.

The anticipated Mole Tasting Contest “Mole To Die For” is back for its 12th annual Mole To Die For! MCCLA celebrates Latin American heritage through the art of Mexican cuisine, and invites the community to participate in this aromatic event held during the Día de los Muertos season, a time to commemorate and remember together our loved ones and our shared traditions. for registration: bit.do/molecontest
The history of the Mole goes back to the pre-Columbian era and there are several versions of its origin.
It is said that the Aztecs prepared for the great lords a complex dish called “Mulli,” meaning porridge or mixture. This mixture contained various chillies and other seasonings. Mole is a special dish for the nobility and it represents one of the greatest gifts that indigenous people contributed to the world!
