"NOT OUR PRESIDENT" Community protest dance // Berkeley

Playing at ASHKENAZ this Friday for “NOT OUR PRESIDENT” Community protest dance

as well as inspirational speakers & activism! w Hadley Louden, Andius Jent, Paul Sonnabend, Kimi Keating, Bob Lore, Tracy Richardson LAc, Damien Masterson, Yunoka Berryy & more!

As an antidote to the Presidential Inauguration earlier today, Los Bros leader Hadley Louden has organized “Not Our President.” Come join this Community Protest Dance, listen to speakers, and dance away the night with the world premiere of Hadley & the Hippies (performing ’60s anthems of protest and love) and the return of Ashkenaz favorite Los Bros.

Louden explains, “This is not just a concert; this is a rare moment in time featuring inspirational speakers from Code Pink and other progressive local groups, including local poet Rosetta Egan and poet laureate Jack Foley, and protestors, hopefully including you! Come and put some flowers in your hair! (Flowers will be provided).” Musicians include Tom Finch, Damien Masterson, Hadley Louden, Paul Sonnabend, Tracy Richardson, Bobi Lore, Trevino Leon, Andius Jent, Baba Duru, Flower Child, and special guests..

Los Bros brings genre-busting dance music to soothe the soul, an original blend of picante Latin grooves, jazz, and boogaloo. The band’s mission statement is that “through the universal language of music, Los Bros seeks to embrace our greater musical family.”

Hey Peeps! Forgive me for once again encouraging you to come out this Friday to Ashkenaz for this great once-in-a-lifetime event NOT OUR PRESIDENT! Two LIVE Bands, presentations by CODEPINK, Live Poetry Readings, Free Flowers for your Hair!
