Queer Posada

Join us at Oakland SOL – Sustaining Ourselves Locally for a Queer Posada

Cost: $10 suggested donation. No One Turned Away For Lack of Funds. This is a community fundraiser for a Queer Mama who just sent her daughter to College! The same Queer Mama who made over 200 tamales for our first Queer Posada free of charge.

Accessibility Information:
The storefront is accessible from the sidewalk. The bathroom downstairs is not ADA accessible, but we are working with our neighbors at LOL to be able to use their ADA accessible restroom that is accessible through the sidewalk. Tur storefront is also pet-free and scent free.

About the Space:
Oakland SOL is a Queer and Trans* People of Color (QTPOC)-led housing collective based in East Oakland off of International Blvd. We seek to serve as a community resource for individuals, groups and organizations in the Bay Area by providing an accessible, affordable and safe space where folks can connect with us, build community and support each other. As a QTPOC-led collective, we prioritize events that center the experiences and needs of our diverse communities.
