The History Museum will join with Circulo Cultural and the Redwood City Public Library to present a Day of the Dead celebration.
All activities are free.
On Courthouse Square, just in front of the Museum, there will be music, traditional food and a processional (7 p.m.). Within the Museum will be kid’s crafts (from 5:30-8:30 p.m.) and a Festival of Altars (from 5:30-9 p.m.).

- Decorate a calavera. This representation of a human skull is made from either sugar or clay.
- Make a Catrina or paper skelton.
- Create paper flowers like those used to decorate altars or graves on Día de los Muertos.
- Design papel picado by cutting paper into elaborate designs.
Festival of the Altars
Those that miss the Day of the Dead celebration will still be able to see the altars during the week.
