Ritmos Tropicosmos is a seven piece psychedelic cumbia group, from Oakland, creating heavy tropical rhythms with an emphasis on live percussion, organ and synthesizers. Their inspiration is the sum of their collective minds – meeting at the intersection of multiple timelines. A crossroads of electricity and molten earth, somewhere within the traditional rhythms of the past and futuristic textures of The Now.
PHILTHY BONEZ
Mr Philthy is a Bay Area multi-instrumentalist and producer who mixes the electro cumbia sound along with cumbia sonidera and West Coast funk. Half DJ/half live set…..Mr Philthy combines these two worlds so that it feels like a DJ mix, only with live instruments playing along to the beat. This music is made for dancing so bring your dancing shoes.
CAJA MAGICA (DJs Elisse Locomotion & Jose Trujillo)
Caja Magica was formed in 2018 by Elisse Locomotion (CDMX) and Jose Trujillo (Oakland). They bring the 60s and 70s explosive sounds of Latin America to the air waves every Wednesday on Psyched Radio (San Francisco) and every Thursday at La Bestia Radio (Mexico City). Exploring the realms of psychedelic, garage, beat, cumbia and more from their vinyl collections.
DJ INTERNATIONAL SOUNDS SPACE
Adam Dunbar is the founder and sole proprieter of Discos Alma and is currently based in Oakland, California, where he is an established record dealer and DJ.
