Roberto Tapia live at Silver Legacy Resort Casino at THE ROW on Friday, Aug. 30 at 8:30 p.m.
At a young age, Roberto Tapia began performing on hundreds of stages, singing corridos and songs, but his path to fame was not an easy one. At age nine, he studied music, learning to play several instruments such as the clarinet, the tambura and the guitar. He now boasts a discography of nine records that highlight his talent as a composer, musical arranger and collaborator.
Tapia’s talent and charisma have helped him stand out as one of the leading Norteño and banda music performers, with a very special style that makes him one of the most sought after artists. With his earlier material “El Niño de La Tuna,” he quickly position himself as an audience favorite. The album “Los Amigos del M” earned notoriety in Mexico and the United States, and features the breakout singles “Los Amigos del M” and “Las Edades” that were radio chart-toppers in both countries.
Tapia was one of three coaches on the first two seasons of “La Voz Kids,” a Spanish-language version of “The Voice” featuring American Spanish-speaking children on the Telemundo Network.
