Drop-off your donations on Friday at History San Jose Park 693 Phelan Ave., San Jose from 2-6pm.
We normally do not take clothing but because the families in Pajaro lost everything during the floods and are still struggling we are accepting clothing donations. Especially back-to-school clothing for children K-12 and school supplies.
Also, if you have a large truck or van and think you can help drive donations to Pajaro (1 hour drive) Saturday morning at 8am email firstname.lastname@example.org or RSVP at farmworkercaravan.com
Friday: Donation drop off in San Jose.
Do I have to be a Rotarian to go on the caravan? No, anybody who wants to go help the Pajaro / Watsonville farmworker families is welcome to come!
Do you need volunteers? We need volunteers on Friday to help sort donations at History San Jose Park from 2-6pm and on Saturday from 12-4pm to help with the distribution in Pajaro Park. We also may need volunteers to pick up donations on Friday to take to Pajaro on Saturday. Just come on by and check in with a Catholic Charities staff in a blue vest!
Are you taking clothing donations? Yes, we normally do not take clothes but since the Pajaro Flood victims lost everything they owned we will be collecting new or gently used clothing. The greatest need is for Back-to-School clothing and backpacks for children and hoodies, new socks & undergarments for adult men and women. Please do not drop off stained, ripped or dirty clothing. See drop-off times below.
Where is the meet-up for lunch? We will be meeting at 12 noon at the popular Jalisco’s Restaurant in historic downtown Watsonville for a private all-you-can-eat buffet and live music. This is a private event and you must RSVP and pay beforehand to attend. RSVP HERE
Note: Following lunch you can opt to go to the Watsonville Wine, Beer & Artwalk.
