Celebrate the season with the hottest new band on the Central Coast, Santa Cruz Latin Collective!

Within a very short time, Santa Cruz Latin Collective has become Santa Cruz County’s premiere dance band with a strong following and a big sound influenced by such great Latin legends as Santana, Malo, Sapo, Fania All Stars, Eddie Palmieri, Willie Colon and many others. Santa Cruz Latin Collective features a driving percussion section, searing guitar and horns, and outstanding bilingual vocalists.

Guitarist Oscar Estrella and Timbalero Jimmy Palafox have put together an incredible line-up of talent, with both youthful energy and seasoned, professional musicianship. Oscar Estrella emigrated from Cuba and came of age in the Mission District of San Francisco, where he joined the emerging Latin Rock movement. He is a current member of Richard Bean’s MALO, co-founded by Carlos Santana’s younger brother Jorge Santana. Jimmy Palafox is a native of Santa Cruz, a gifted percussionist, and founder of the rock band, New Horizons.

Santa Cruz Latin Collective features local phenom Aidan Santa Cruz on keyboard, the amazing Everett Moody on sax, Noah Mogor holding down the groove on bass with veteran Malo drummer David George, and Tom Bartolero rounding out the rhythm section on congas. Lead vocalist Luis Argueta of Orquesta Liberacion and Latin Heat is joined by our newest members, Fanny Forero and Marie Smith on vocals. Together, their dynamic, fresh and energetic performance is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser that appeals to a diverse group of music lovers and dancers.

In addition, the Collective often features special guest performances from some of the finest Latin musicians in Northern California. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy their unstoppable groove that redefines the Latin genre.
