LUNADA Literary Lounge
Spoken Word * Música * Open Mic
LUNADA hosts our September full moon literary ritual at the SF MoMA, to kick-off GALERIA DE LA RAZA’s visiting exhibit “Remezcla Gráfica / Graphic Remix.”
LUNADA is the Bay Area’s only full moon bilingual literary ritual & performance gathering devoted to spoken word, música, song, and story. Located in the heart of the Mission District at GALERIA DE LA RAZA, and guest curated by some of the Bay Area’s most dynamic word slingers and artists, each LUNADA features community poets, local legends, visiting mystics, and other mero meros of the stage.
Our featured line-up of stellar wordsmiths includes the Lunada debut of SF teen poet ALEJA COBARRUVIAZ, and South Bay poet and emcee L7 (L Siete), with a special collective reading by Paul Flores, Melissa Lozano, Nicole Henares, Vianney Casas, Stephanie Payes, Andrea Miller, Prishni Murillo, David Inocencio, and Leticia Hernandez, sharing poems contributed to the ¡GENTROMANCER! project by artist JOSUÉ ROJAS.
Sign-up at 7:00pm (at the entrance on Minna St.) / 10 slots on the list / 5 min. each, featuring first-timers, veteranos, poets, musicians, emcees, and storytellers in English, Spanish, Espanglish, and den sum, under the full moon.
