La Sonora Dinamita, a Mexican-Colombian group, is one of the first cumbia groups to achieve international success and has played a crucial role in popularizing the genre throughout Latin America and the world.
Suenatron, comprising brothers Mexia and Giovanni Hernández, draws on their Mexican-American upbringing to create a unique sound that blends pop, cumbia, norteño, rap, and more, which they call Musica de Fusion or Fusion Music. Expect some surprises in their upbeat performance.
El Dusty, a producer, DJ, and nu-cumbia pioneer, brings the Southern Texas border experience to life with his barrio anthems. His latest collaborative project, Trapanera EP, showcases his bi-cultural border identity, featuring a mix of Latin classics and bass-heavy soundsystem and hip-hop cultures.
He’ll debut a newly-developed set on his tour to promote the EP and his upcoming album, Cumbia Anthem, We Out Chea. The show will feature live visual projections and percussionists improvising over his DJ set. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to experience the best of music fusion!
