This highly acclaimed and much beloved all-woman band features a wealth of Bay Area musical talent from the realms of Latin jazz and world music, including Michaelle Goerlitz on percussion; Jackeline Rago on cuatro, percussion, mandolin and vocals; Donna Viscuso on flute, saxophone and harmonica; Jan Martinelli on bass; Susu Pampanin on Middle Eastern percussion; and Erika Luckett on guitar and vocals.
The band’s albums—Made in Mango, Oba and Circulo Vital—take listeners on a world tour, moving from merengue to bolero to samba to funk with rich undertones of Middle Eastern spice.
