“More Than Cars: Celebrating Lowrider Culture” is a partnership with Pajaro Valley Arts, featuring over 50 artists and Lowrider club members.

From photography to sculpture, witness the creativity and history of Lowrider culture in a stunning showcase of talent and inspiring resilience.

The exhibit runs through June 30, with additional events including video screenings, panel discussions, and art activities for youth.

“With the Film Festival & the Lowrider Exhibit, we are reclaiming our stories and our culture, highlighting the lived experiences of Latinos in the US, portraying ourselves in more authentic ways than the mainstream media has historically depicted us,” says Watsonville Film Festival Director and independent filmmaker Consuelo Alba [top photo].

“This year we will honor the resilience and creativity of Lowrider culture and the powerful, often unheard, voices of Latine filmmakers.”
