A photography exhibit chronicling patrons and vendors at East Oakland’s flea market known as “La Pulga.”

When: Noon-4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays through Aug. 2nd.
Where: The Oakland Lowdown, 300 14th St., Oakland.

The photos in this exhibit were taken over the course of several weeks capturing stories of celebration, camaraderie, heartbreak, and survival.

They were published as part of a project in El Tímpano, a publication focused on Latinos and immigrants in Oakland.
