Farmworker Caravan Tamalada // San Jose

We ask that you donate $5 or a nonperishable food item or drop off your Christmas con Cariño stockings for entry.

All tamales made at the event will be donated to the Farmworker Caravan to gift to agricultural workers for Christmas at our Christmas Caravan event.

This is a freebie family-friendly Christmas event. Wear your festive gear and be ready to sing Feliz Navidad.

1) We still have a couple of volunteer spots left at the Farmworker Caravan Tamalada on Monday, December 18th in San Jose where we plan to make 2400 tamales and tamale kits.

2) If you are a tamale novice Chef Steve Cortez who has 15+ years of teaching cooking classes will give a Tamale Making 101 class starting at 10am for Primo Party Pass holders only.

3) All tamales made at the event will be donated to the Farmworker Caravan to gift to agricultural workers on the Christmas Caravan heading to Half Moon Bay on Wednesday, December 20th. This is a freebie family-friendly Christmas event. Wear your festive gear and be ready to sing Feliz Navidad. RSVP HERE

4) This year we added a Christmas Boutique from 12-6pm to the Tamalada with 20 great vendors! We also have the fabulous Los Amigos playing live music plus food trucks. So stop on by and join in on the fun! We ask that you donate $5 or a nonperishable food item for entry.

5) We are extending the deadline for Christmas con Cariño stockings until Monday, December 18th so you can drop them off at the Tamalada.
