Join the vibrant atmosphere of San José’s SoFA District with complimentary art activities, dance, and music for the whole family to enjoy.

Family Art Day is open to everyone, so bring your family and join us for a day filled with creativity, celebration and connection.

Portraits are complimentary, but registration is required due to limited availability. Only one registration per family.

Art installations:

Monoprint Workshop with Prof. Irene Carvajal

Irene Carvajal is a Costa Rican-American artist, working in printmaking, collage, video, performance and installation. Her work examines labor, gender and globalization through the lens of mass produced objects.

Symbolic Narratives with Rayos Magos

Rayos Magos, is a Latinx/Chicano, mixed-media artist. As part of San José’s Cultural Ambassador project, he will demonstrate basic printmaking skills while exploring storytelling through the medium.

Voter Engagement with Rubén Darío Villa

As our Creative Corps Artist, Rubén Darío will foster meaningful dialogues, encourage self-expression, and promote inclusivity within our community.  Creative Corps Artist is supported by California Arts Council in partnership with San Francisco Foundation.
