Friday, May 1st 2026 5:30pm – 8 pm at Marina Community Center, San Leandro.
The evening will feature live performances by Mariachi Magda Vázquez and Ballet Folklórico Costa de Oro, along with arts and crafts activities for children, light refreshments, and opportunities to experience traditional Mexican music and dance.

The City of San Leandro is proud to invite the community to its annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Marina Community Center (15301 Wicks Boulevard, San Leandro). Doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m.
This free, family-friendly celebration brings the San Leandro community together to honor Mexican culture, foster cultural appreciation, strengthen community connections, and inspire pride in the city’s rich diversity.
The celebration also highlights local youth and talent while increasing awareness of the City’s Recreation programs and services.
Aligned with the City’s commitment to enhancing quality of life, this event reflects San Leandro’s dedication to developing inclusive programs that celebrate community and the diverse cultures that make the city vibrant.
Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican Army’s victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Today, it is celebrated as a vibrant tribute to Mexican heritage, culture, and resilience.
