Raíces: el libro de los caminos is a one-of-a-kind performance with México City theater company La Quinta Teatro. See amazing theater photos below!

The show has been in the works for over three years and across more than two thousand miles.

Teatro Visión partnered with La Quinta Teatro in 2019, and together worked with hundreds of community members in San José, CA; Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, Oaxaca, and México City.

Their stories, experiences, and memories of migration inspired the choreography and puppetry you’ll see in Raíces: el libro de los caminos.

A story told through movement, costume, props, and music, Raíces: el libro de los caminos will take audiences of all ages, languages, and cultures on a magical journey like no other.

A world premiere created with community in California and México by La Quinta Teatro and Teatro Visión, music by Guillermo Galindo.

Raíces: el libro de los caminos is a brand new spectacle inspired in the tradition of street theater!  It’s created with input from hundreds of community members, that explores migration as a boundless journey!
