La Marisoul y Son California Is a group of southern California-based traditional Mexican folk artists whose goal is to celebrate the diversity of styles within son Jarocho and Mexican folk music.
They share a deep respect and love for this genre. After years of cultivating deep roots in this traditional art form in Veracruz, the group has decided to come together to create new interpretations and original music based on traditional and contemporary art forms. La Marisoul Hernandez, Federico Zuniga, Victor Murillo, and Jorge Herrera stem from rich Mexican musical traditions rooted in California and Mexico.
The love they share for their culture and community is evident in their passionate and soulful interpretations of Son and Cancion Mexicana.
