About the bands:

Los Alegres Callejeros are a Cumbia and Latin Tropical Music band that formed in 2017 at 1st Fridays in Oakland.

They have played at both SF & Oakland Carnaval and numerous public and private events around The Bay Area. Alegre means cheerful, Callejero has many meanings including street performer. They draw from rich musical traditions to bring forward a unique musical experience. Whether upbeat Tropical Latin dance music or slow hypnotic minor key vamps, their melodies are infectious and their rhythms are guaranteed to make you move and groove!

La Zuli combines the virtuosic talents of violinist Briana Di Mara and guitarist Anis Sehiri, weaving fresh original melodies and danceable rhythms influenced by music everywhere from Spain to North Africa to the Balkans and beyond.

With lush harmonies and improvisations combining with powerful bass and drums, their genre-bending music is unique and uplifting. They are so grateful to be joined by the amazing Aaron Kierbel(drums) and Erinn Wilkerson (bass).
