About event:

Luz América will be the exclusive featured artist of this event, a first of its kind in the Bay Area. She will be performing, among many other melodies, “Bésame Mucho,” the anthem of this collective ceremony. The objective is to honor the “Sacred Feminine” and the “Sacred Masculine,” allowing us to gradually and thoughtfully engage with the theme at hand.

We will have a couple of light talks on the subject, as well as two poets. Sergio Herrera will recite aloud the desires of the soul. There will also be two theatrical monologues performed by Grace Grullón.

In the basement, three models — Claudia Nava, Raquelín Valencia, and Jeremy Michael — will offer their bodies as shield and canvas while master artists Roberto Romo and Fabián Márquez create brushstrokes meant to inspire reflection and awaken awareness around the theme.

A comedic sketch performed by a couple titled “The Topic Doesn’t Matter” will also be part of the evening.

Several books related to the theme will be available for rent at bookstores in San José, and others will be available for purchase at Recycle Bookstore. In addition, there will be a few surprises to ensure you fully enjoy a night as a couple.

This event is organized by several individuals who are conscious of the need to openly discuss this topic within the Mexican community, creating a space to speak freely and without the unnecessary prejudices that distance us from reality.
